Run a live 30-student geography review in under 2 minutes. Free, no accounts, no student data collected.
Click “Create a class session”, pick a max player count (up to 50), and get a 6-letter join code instantly. No sign-up.
Switch to the projector view: a full-screen join code and QR code, sized to be read from the back of the room.
Students scan the QR code or type the code on their own device. The whole class sees the same map narrow down in real time.
Geo Atlas requires no sign-up, no account, and no email address — students choose a display name for the session only. No personal data is collected on minors, and multiplayer sessions are ephemeral: nothing is stored once the session ends. This is designed to satisfy Quebec's Loi 25 (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector) without any special configuration — there is simply no personal data to protect.
The default question bank covers exactly the attributes taught in Univers social and Géographie, secondaire 1-2: continents, borders, capitals, population, landlocked status, and hemisphere. A dedicated “Classroom” question preset restricts play to these core attributes for younger students, or use the full bank for a more advanced review.
Do students need an account or app install?
No. Students join from any browser — phone, tablet, or classroom computer — with no install and no account.
Is any student data stored?
No. Sessions are ephemeral and no personal data is collected beyond a self-chosen display name for the session.
Does it work with a spotty school Wi-Fi connection?
Yes — Geo Atlas is lightweight and designed to work on weak connections; the map defaults to a lightweight vector tile set, not satellite imagery.
Can I use it in French or Spanish class too?
Yes — the whole game, including the classroom view, is available in English, French, and Spanish.
Is it really free?
Yes, 100% free, no ads, no subscription, no limits on session count or size.
