Playing solo
Solo mode lets you play without a server or network connection. The goal is to guess the secret country by asking as few questions as possible.
Starting a game
- Choose your language via the selector at the top right (🇫🇷 FR · 🇬🇧 EN · 🇪🇸 ES)
- Click 🧑 Solo Mode on the home screen
A country is drawn at random from all 172 countries and the game starts immediately. Your language preference is remembered between sessions.
Scoring
You start every game with 100 points. Score only decreases when you ask questions:

Score cannot drop below 0. Wrong guesses do not deduct points in solo.
Progressive clues (free)
The 💡 Clue button reveals up to 5 progressive clues without any score penalty:
- 🌍 Continent
- 🏖️ Coastline (with or without coast)
- 👥 Population bracket
- 🔤 First letter of the capital
- 🏳️ Reveal the answer (ends the game)

In Hard mode the map of matching countries can include incorrect ones, making it less reliable.

Strategy tips
- Start with continent: eliminates ~80% of countries in one question
- Follow up with population (> 50 million?) then area (> France?)
- Use organisations (EU, NATO, G20…) to pinpoint a region precisely
- Keep clues in reserve: they're free, but their value decreases as the game progresses
