🗺️ Country Hunt — New GeoElimination Mode
A brand-new solo game mode: Country Hunt. A secret country hides behind a series of progressive clues (continent, size, coastline, borders, language…). With each clue revealed, incompatible countries fade from the map. Your score depends on how many clues you needed.
Daily challenge: a fresh puzzle every day at midnight UTC. Solve it, then share your result as an emoji grid.
Practice mode: play with a random country any time, no limit on attempts.
Access it from the home screen → 🗺️ Country Hunt, or directly via /elimination.
Multiplayer invite link
In the waiting lobby, click the session code to copy a direct invite link (geo-atlas.net/join/ABCDEF). Friends click the link and the code is pre-filled automatically.
Question effectiveness
Each question log entry now shows how many countries were eliminated and the corresponding percentage (e.g. −127 (74%)). Helps you judge the strategic value of each question at a glance.
Full Spanish support 🇪🇸
The interface, questions, and country names are now available in Spanish. Switch language at any time using the new 3-way picker at the top right. Your language preference is remembered between sessions.
3-way language picker
The language button in the header now shows a dropdown with 🇫🇷 FR · 🇬🇧 EN · 🇪🇸 ES. The active language is highlighted. Clicking outside closes the menu.
Dark mode
The interface automatically adapts to the operating system theme (light or dark). In dark mode the header and buttons maintain sufficient contrast to remain readable.
Contextual Help button
The Help button in the header now opens the blog help page relevant to the current screen (solo mode, scoring system, multiplayer guide…) in a new tab.
UI fixes
- Translated category names: question panel category headings now appear in the chosen language
- "Team A" label fixed: the message when choosing a secret country now adapts to the game mode
- Score bar: now correctly initialises at 100% at the start of a new game
- Game header hidden: score badges no longer appear before a game is started
- Language persistence: chosen language is kept when closing and reopening the browser tab
